Quite cute and all. Extremely uncomfortable to play though. Has quite a deep sound compared to some ukulele's. People seem to class it as a soprano but I think its closer to a concert size really. In body anyway.

Yeah it makes a long red line mark thing in my arm if I play it long enough. Speaking of which I have just been playing my Les Paul for a coupla hours so my fingers are a wincy bit burnt now.

Despite this I feel a new post coming on.It feels like the urge to empty one's bowel but less fecal.
For want of a better way of describing it, it sounds cuter than the guitar. There is something gentle and serene about the ukulele which the guitar doesn't have.

I have 4 uke's. One flying V, one Les Paul and two standard soprano uke's. Love them all but the Les Paul is my usual one for playing for hours at a time.

And yes I've heard of the uke/orch. Agree, lovely sound.
I've always fancied trying a ukulele as they are pretty flexible and have a unique sound. The fact that they are so portable is handy too. I guess you have probably hears a Ukulele orchestra before - fabulous sound.
